Buyer

• You'll be given a cohort of your own suppliers, who you'll build effective relationships with and be given the autonomy and support to run everything from contract management, pricing negotiations and supplier performance
• Support the Supply Chain Manager with business-critical supplier management
• Develop insight into key markets and commodities, highlighting risks and opportunities as they arise
• Take the lead at our Stage & Gate Ops meetings when each project reaches the relevant Gate
• Lead on your own projects, which could range from cost saving initiatives through to driving continuous improvements
• Line management for the Materials Planner, giving you the opportunity to develop as a Manager and Leader of the future - previous line management experience not required!

• Previous experience in a Food Manufacturing environment where you've been directly involved in the purchase or supply of raw materials and/or stock control. This could've been as a Junior Buyer, Buying Assistant, Assistant Buyer, Procurement Admin or anything similar
• Be a confident communicator at all levels both internally and externally
• Can lead and drive negotiations with suppliers, thinking about the commercial impact
• Know your way around Excel (think formula and pivots etc) and ideally have had experience utilising and MRP/ERP platform
